Today we bid a final farewell to Queen Elizabeth II, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories.
Born just four years short of a century ago, Elizabeth was our Constitutional Monarch for seventy years from her Ascension to the Throne in 1952, and carried out her duties as Sovereign to the end; indeed, the picture above shows her on the day she officially appointed Liz Truss as her new Prime Minister just two days before her death.
